A mix of quality British softwood species such as Larch, Spruce, Red cedar and Pine. Although softwood logs are not as long lasting as hardwood, they burn quicker than hardwood logs so are perfect to get a fire going.

 

Softwood logs can be used on an open fire, but we advise the use of a fire guard to catch any sparks.

Once processed into logs, the firewood is air-dried for several months. Only when we have tested each load by measuring the moisture content, do we class the logs as fully seasoned. The seasoned logs have a maximum average moisture content of 25%.
